The soils of moraine origin rich in gravel and silt, the cultivation of Guyot vines with a high plant density of about 7000 vines per hectare, the harvest extended until mid-October and the vinification carried out strictly in steel, are the fundamental ingredients that allow the Gewürztraminer to enhance its aromatic intensity, so as to give the wine its excellent structure, the alcoholic component and the freshness that will characterize it. The Gewürztraminer of Abbazia di Novacella is a pleasantly fresh and balanced wine, with fragrant varietal aromas that seduce smell and taste; excellent as an aperitif, it lends itself, given its characteristics, to accompany many dishes, including ethnic cuisine.
Golden straw-colored, it releases warm aromatic scents of rose and lychee, pear, citrus and passion fruit, honey and aromatic herbs. Soft and savory to taste, with a good taste-olfactory response, it closes long on fruity memories.
Elegant as an aperitif, it will marry perfectly with dishes based on fish and shellfish, both raw and steamed and with oriental dishes but it will surprise you if combined with an excellent DOP buffalo mozzarella!
