The Batasiolo company takes its name from the vineyard where the winery is located, in the splendid setting of the Langhe. In this marvellous territory, recently declared a World Heritage Site by U.N.E.S.C.O., men live an almost symbiotic daily relationship with the land, an inseparable link between the farmer and his vineyard. The primary goal is to respect tradition, getting even with those epochs in which poverty linked one season to the each other and the only asset of the farmer was the farm, both in a material and in an affective sense. Among the range produced by Batasiolo stands Barbera, wine and historic vine of this land, inextricably linked to the wine and food tradition, a wine that is never missing on Piedmonts dining tables, considered an excellence by everyone. The Alba Doc production area is in an area rich in calcareous marl and is particularly subject to temperature ranges. Because of the harsh temperatures, even on summer evenings, the harvest is done in the second half of October and it is manual. This Barbera fermented in steel then spends 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels, before continuing the refinement in the bottle. It arrives on our shelves ready to be drunken and enjoyable for at least 3 years.
Ruby red wine with violet reflections, of good consistency. The nose denotes the typicality of the vine and the territory, with notes of red fruit, withered flowers and aromatic herbs, good intensity. The taste is dry, with a good freshness and very delicate tannins, almost imperceptible. Good persistence played on fruity returns. Excellent nose-mouth correspondence.
Considered the Piedmonts wine par excellence, it pleasantly accompanies the entire meal, excellent with cold cuts, cheeses, first courses based on meat and second courses.
