Champions of pleasantness, founded on the increase of fruity sensations, the wines of Prunotto have for years been a recognized emblem of Piedmontese enology. Merit above all of the Langhe terroir, one of the most renowned and famous hilly areas of the national context, which extends along the right bank of the river Tanaro and that, thanks to a particular richness in minerals, limestone and marl and to the predominantly dry climate, contributes to give a great concentration of sugars in the grapes, with a qualitatively prestigious production. In addition to Nebbiolo, the undisputed sovereign of these lands, Barbera is another grape that gives surprising results, for colour, structure and character, so much so that it is said that in the Langhe Barbera baroleggia (seems to be Barolo)!
Bright ruby red, it is austere and tenacious in its aromas, a fascinating Barbera without frills that tastes like raspberry, cherry, aromatic herbs and mineral nuances. Full and balanced tasting, it has a body and persistence that are never banal.
With first courses with meat sauce, timbales of baked pasta and agnolotti, with roast pork and semi-mature cheeses.
