This excellent champagne, the first Rosé produced by Perrier-Jouët, is a small masterpiece of this historic maison with family roots dating back to 1811; perfect blend of intensity, acidity and elegance, the Blason Rosé is the result of a skilful fusion of 50 different wines. A cuvée with a wide and structured character, which hides behind fresh and graceful scents: the power of Pinot Noir (50%), in fact, combines the elegance of Chardonnay (25%) and the fruity aroma of Pinot Meunier (25 %), a combination wisely pursued by Hervé Deschamps, the chef de cave of the maison, to create a champagne that will hardly go unnoticed.
Brilliant salmon pink in colour, with delicate coppery reflections and crossed by tiny bubbles that create a white froth, the Blason Rosé opens to the nose with delicate and persuasive floral and delicately fruity aromas of rose petals, strawberries and raspberries, immediately followed by intriguing scents of yeasts, honey, nuts and with a clear minerality to enclose everything. On the palate it is striking for its freshness and richness; it is broad, powerful and with a long finish with citrus persistence.
Try it with a knife-cut Fassona beef tartare; they will exalt each other!
