Marriages of love always lead to something good. Nicolas-François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, both owners of vineyards that gave the grapes to different Champagne houses, in 1818, got married and Elisabeth brought her 14 hectares of vineyards to her husband, convincing him to start producing his own champagne. Almost two hundred years have passed and at the helm of this company in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ there have been seven generations of Billecart, all animated by the desire to continue this tradition.
Light shimmering gold, with a fine perlage and delicate froth, it smells of white flowers and fresh fruit with white pulp, aromatic herbs, chalk, pain grillé and honey. Full and balanced on the palate, refreshed by lively acidity and with long persistence.
Perfect aperitif, it also goes well with raw fish, first sauces, rustic pies and medium-aged cheeses
