Rivera is a company that has known over the years, as well as for the attention to the research of the maximum expression of native vines and a great care for the production chain, also for the correctness of its products and for the excellent relationship with prices. Winegrowers for three generations, the De Corato have managed to give prestige to the area of Castel del Monte, exalting not so much the name, but, through its wines, the territorial expression of the grapes grown. A happy example of the combination of native grapes (Nero di Troia and other red-berry varieties) and international grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon), the Rupicolo is striking for its overall cleanliness and its important but extremely enjoyable and never heavy structure.
A ruby red color with purple hues, it releases fresh and fragrant aromas of ripe red fruit, herbaceous notes and of underbrush, china and mineral tones. Soft and pleasantly tannic, it has a corroborant acidity in the long closing.
With a good pasta and beans and with fettuccine with meat sauce, with saltimbocca alla romana, with meatballs stewed and with semi-seasoned cheeses even spicy.
