This exceptional Cuvée is particularly balanced and complex. Its name pays homage to the seventeenth century that is called precisely Grand Siècle because considered historical period of change and comfort. It is mainly composed of Chardonnay grapes and a small part by Pinot Noir and is the height of the fusion of the best grapes coming from as many as 11 villages classified as Grand Cru and exclusively from the best vintages from this Maison. Just think that you need at least three vintages that confer complexity, balance and refinement because the chef de cave can take them into consideration!
Bright gold in colour and marked by delicate and persistent perlage, it gives a rich and elegant bouquet of pan-brioche and honey, almond and citrus sugar, wrapped in suffused minerality. Full and vigorous on the palate, it is perfectly balanced between freshness, flavour and softness.
Because of its important structure it can perfectly match with preparations with black truffles or with wild game but it remains faithful companion of any dish based on fish.
