Historical Ripasso della Valpolicella

The Cantina Valpantena, made up by 270 companies, is a cooperative that can count on a vineyard of over 600 hectares distributed among the most suitable areas of Valpolicella, Valpantena and Soave. The wines produced are a certainty of quality such as this Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso, a wine with a long winemaking tradition made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella vines. After the crushing, destemming and pressing of the grapes, it ferments at a temperature between 22 and 28°C and the maceration, to extract the bright and shiny colour, lasts about 12 days. It is followed by the second fermentation on the pomace of Amarone Torre del Falasco, top of the range, with a generous taste. The long aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels.

Intense ruby red in colour with carmine red. Accentuated floral aromas with hints of undergrowth and red fruit jam are amalgamated with spicy hints of pepper, carob and nutmeg.

On the palate it is soft, rich, velvety, pleasantly harmonious and long-lasting. It is recommended with boiled meat, stewed deer and aged cheeses.

Structured and full bodied
Deep ruby red, with elegant parfumes to the nose. In the mouth reveals a complex an full bodied structure, in which the tannins are finely balanced by the alcohol and by a spicy, peppery bouquet. Best enjoyed with noble red meats, will most gracefully complement a Sunday roast. Extraordinary price-quality ratio.
