Sicily

Sicily, in the past heart of Mediterranean civilization, is called the land of vine and olive; according to ancient legends it is exactly here that the nectar of gods was born, that is wine, given to men in order to ease their burdens and delight their senses. Today Sicily claims a production of great quality that is appreciated worldwide. Wines such as Nero d'Avola, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Nerello Mascalese, Inzolia, are famous in Italy as well as around the world. The grapes that grow best on the territory are Chardonnay, Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot. The Nero d'Avola today is the most famous Sicilian wine all around the world.
