Tuscany is one of the most important wine regions in the world, probably the most representative for Italian wine. The conformation of the territory, with hilly and mountainous areas, lends itself to viticulture also supported by climatic and geological peculiarities. The most productive wine-growing areas are essentially the Chianti hills, in central Tuscany, where the homonymous wine known all over the world is born; Brunello di Montalcino is the other pride of Tuscan production. Born from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, it has an unmistakable structure and is capable of very long aging. From a variety of Sangiovese also comes the wine Nobile di Montepulciano defined centuries ago the king of wines. Even the white wines begin to give excellent results especially thanks to the Vernaccia vine and Vermentino. The well-known Vin Santo, deserves a quote apart. It is made with Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes and pride of many producers in the region.
