The particular care in the selection of the grapes, the adoption of the most advanced winemaking techniques and the choice to enhance the native vines, have allowed the Rivera Winery, to carve out a place of absolute respect in the vast Apulian wine scene. This winery, linked since the forties to the de Corato family, is followed today by Marco and Sebastiano, the third generation that continues, with pride, with the aim of enhancing and making known the Murge territory. Intense, elegant and complex, Il Falcone Riserva is produced with 70% Nero di Troia grapes, with the remaining amount of other local red grape varieties, after the vinification matures for 14 months in French oak barrels and a further year in the bottle; immediately enjoyable, reveals a great prospect of aging.
Beautiful ruby with garnet reflections, it has a complex nose of dried rose, prunes in jam and sweet spices. On the palate it has well-integrated structure and tannins, good balance and long spicy persistence.
With cured meats and aged cheeses, with grilled, braised or overcooked red meats.
