Description

Incredibly tasty and fine

Pomino Bianco is a superbly elegant and stylish blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco and it is produced in one of Tuscany's greatest white-wine growing areas. The Pomino DOC zone, in the province of Florence, was chosen by the Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi wine estate to grow both local and international varieties. Key to the Pomino area's prestige is its distinctive terroir. The Pomino area benefits from a particularly favorable microclimate and thanks to its ideally suited soils, the estate’s vineyards are able to create exceptional blends such as the wonderfully perfumed Pomino Bianco.

Bright yellow in color with greenish hues, this wine is dominated by intense aromas of hawthorn, pear, medlar, fresh cut grass and mineral notes on the nose. On the palate, it is very fresh and fruity with distinctive softness and remarkably persistent lingering sensations.

Excellent as an aperitif, it can also be paired with fish pies, shellfish, roast vegetable and houmous pies, raclette and soft cheeses, even when grilled.
